It is important to note that the suggested salaries only act as a guideline to our crew and rates may vary. Much depends on the crew member’s experience and if the vessel is a charter yacht or privately owned. On charter vessels, crew will receive tips from guests, over and above their salaries. This is usually 10% – 15% of the total cost of the charter. Tips are normally shared equally between all crew members. On privately owned vessels, salaries are often slightly higher, as there are generally no tips.
